Dr. Ellison graduated from Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Ellison received his Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Ellison completed his Orthopedic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts. Dr. Ellison has performed hundreds of arthroscopic shoulder, wrist, knee and ankle surgeries during his career. Dr. Ellison is a licensed workers compensation Qualified Medical Evaluator performing Qualified Medical Evaluations (QME), Agreed Medical Evaluations (AME) and independent Medical-Legal Evaluations (IME). Dr. Ellison provides unique orthopedic surgery expert witness opinions, having both a medical and engineering background.

Dr Bruce E Ellison MD graduated from the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Ellison received a Mechanical Engineering bachelors degree, with extensive computer hardware and software study. Dr. Ellison worked at an engineering firm during his sophomore and junior years of this undergraduate training, providing software support, general computer programming and computer maintenance and backup.

Dr. Ellison completed several years of orthopedic research at the Stanford Orthopedic Surgery Laboratory during his medical school training. Multiple co-authored studies published in the Journal of Orthopaedic Research focused on chondrocyte stimulation via hydrostatic pressure and fluid induced sheer in vitro.
Dr. Bruce E. Ellison M.D. completed his Orthopedic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts. Dr. Ellison pursued varied research projects devoted to expansion of orthopedic surgery understanding of tumor growth, osteoporosis, cartilage stimulation.
